No Comments on the new issue?

Postby starman on Thu Nov 05, 2009 5:28 pm

No one's talking about the new issue? Or no one looks at this forum?

I think that the adventures in particular were well done.

Cheers!

There's a few complimentary comments on the "Eager" thread. While chatting with Lee last Sunday I said I was particularly impressed with the art - which I gather is mostly down to you Norm?

I'd have thought there would be a few more people joining the forum after issue 2 but it seems not...

I've been holding off on commenting until I've had time to finish reading the issue, which I still haven't managed to do yet. I really like what I've seen so far. Tim's Little Fears scenario is great, and I'll almost certainly give it a shot at some stage.

Thanks, by the way, for the creative design work you did for Lamp Posts in Bloom! The illustration of the lamp posts was terrific, and I was grinning like a loon when I saw that you'd used a real Chinese takeaway menu for one of the handouts.

Actually, we editors have been discussing what to do about that. Stay tuned! :D

Thanks for the compliments. I am glad that you like the art. I wasn't really fishing. I am liking the art more than the writing these days.

Cheers!

As a follow-up to my 'Floorboards' column in issue 2, I saw something on the BBC technology show Click this morning. It is a library of open-license music, free for use. Ideal for those who like background music, and I would have put it in the article if I had known about it at the time of writing :P

I just realized that one could take my comments wrong. I am liking creating the art more than writing. I hope I have not offended anyone.

Cheers!

Looks very interesting. I've developed a bit of a liking for the jazzy incidental music that appears in 70s cop shows like The Sweeney. Hopefully the site will have something in that vein.

Afraid I take issue with your recommendation of Iron Maiden's "Loss For Words". Always found it completely turgid. "Transylvania" is a much better bet. It's even got the right sort of title for using in a horror game. ;)

Actually, I'll go along with that. Didn't remember it at the time though :?
